"Nanny" Ch. Skeedoodle's Banana Banshee Ch. Stargazer's Concho Wildcat x Ch. Skeedoodle's Bossa Nova Baby Bred by Karen and Aaron Flint Owned by Tracy Pierce Hite "Nanny" was not only my first whippet, but a huge part of my life. She introduced me to the wonderful world of whippets and made me fall in love with this great breed. Nanny's temperament was incredible, not to mention her beauty and spirit. We often joke about "Nanny-isms" - "train your people from day one", "always behave like a queen if you want to be treated like one", etc. Everyone loved Nanny, even the other animals. She would walk down the aisle of my barn every morning to feed the horses and they would all put their heads down and nuzzle her. She would repay every horse with a gentle lick and wag. It always amazed me that even the client horses would do this with her. Nanny was also very smart which made for so many funny stories - One day we came home from work to find a perfectly clean glass cake pan in the middle of the tile kitchen floor??? Nanny was out on the deck sunning in one of the chaise lounges. We soon realized it was not clean, just licked thoroughly. It was the pan of brownies we had made the night prior for the Kennel Club picnic that day and had left them in the oven for "safe" keeping - impressive was that she closed the oven door and didn't break the glass pan on the tile floor!! Nanny went everywhere with me and was a constant source of joy. I miss her everyday.
