"Face" is a very well known dog who doesn't live here at Tivio, but I feel he deserves a place to be acknowledged and admired. I am honored to be his co-owner, even if only for the purpose of being his guardian if needed in the future. Face resides with his dad, John Garrison, in CA and his best friend "Dougie" -well I know Dougie feels that way, but maybe not Face always? Face does have to deal with the always cheerful and bouncy Dougie day in and day out - probably a little like living with "Dori" in Finding Nemo. Face not only was awarded Best of Breed at our AWC National by Breeder Judge Iva Kimmelman (Merci Isle), but was an incredible coursing dog in his day and great producer with many Champions on the ground in only a few litters. Face has provided Tivio with several champions, including SBIS get, but my foremost gratitude towards Face is that he brought Michael Allen and John Garrison into our lives. My friendship with Michael was cut short due to her passing a few years ago after a battle with Cancer. Michael was a brilliant woman, renowned as an Artist & Cocker breeder/owner/handler- "Baliwick", who had a fierce love and dedication of our breed. I wish I had had more time to truly absorb all her knowledge and have her be active in our breed. I am sure she would been a great attribute to many. I very much miss her and am so pleased to have John as a friend and fabulous whippet owner.
